Heat is different in our mountains. The canopy of our forests provide a cool respite to hot temperatures where we often see 10 degree cooler temperatures once the sun goes down. Even during the day we stay cooler as we find shade under trees, in the forests, on the rivers and on lakes. It’s why our area is so popular for visitors from hotter regions like Florida, South Carolina, and Georgia where temps are just as hot at night as they are during the day. At the Inn at Amaris Farms, our 16 acres of pastures and trees encourage the breeze making our large porch the perfect spot for breakfast. At night, our guests enjoy the porch chillin out with a glass of wine. With very little light pollution, you can see the night sky full of stars as you watch hundreds of fireflies dancing in the meadow.
