Our Third Anniversary
Saturday, August 8 · 5 to 8 PM · A benefit for Blue Ridge Music Trails of North Carolina

Three years ago, we opened the doors at Amaris Farms. To mark the occasion, we are doing the thing we love most: gathering people on the lawn, under the trees, for an evening of live mountain music.
On Saturday, August 8, from 5 to 8 PM, a bluegrass band sets up on the farm and plays the kind of music these mountains have carried for generations. Bring a chair or a blanket, settle in, and let the evening unfold the way summer evenings should. There will be barbecue, a place to gather, and the sound of banjo and fiddle carrying across the fields as the light goes long and gold.
If you have been looking for a reason to spend a summer weekend in the Blue Ridge, this is it. For guests staying with us, the evening is simply part of the weekend. Wake to a farm breakfast, spend the day among the waterfalls and back roads of Western North Carolina, and come home to music on the lawn as the sun drops behind the ridge. Six rooms, one long summer evening, and no need to drive anywhere after the last song. We would love for that weekend to be yours.
A Benefit for the Music That Makes These Mountains
This is a benefit evening to celebrate our three year anniversary in business. We are raising money for Blue Ridge Music Trails of North Carolina, a nonprofit initiative that works to preserve and celebrate the traditional bluegrass and old-time music of Western North Carolina. Our band for the evening, Carolina Bluegrass Style, plays the kind of tunes their work keeps alive.
For a $50 donation, you can join us for the show, with catered barbecue and non-alcoholic beverages included. Your gift covers the evening and supports Blue Ridge Music Trails in carrying this tradition forward. You can give by calling Erica and Daniel at the farm (828) 318-2630 or drop your donation in the jar on your way in.

About Blue Ridge Music Trails of North Carolina
When we decided to make our anniversary a benefit evening, choosing who it would benefit was the easy part. Blue Ridge Music Trails of North Carolina preserves and celebrates the traditional music born in these mountains: old-time, bluegrass, blues, gospel, ballad singing, and traditional dance. Their guide points music lovers to venues across 29 Western North Carolina counties where this music is still played the way it has always been played, on stages, in music halls, and on front porches. They also keep the tradition moving forward, supporting emerging artists and Junior Appalachian Musicians programs that put fiddles and banjos in young hands.
The Music Trails are an initiative of the Blue Ridge National Heritage Area Partnership, a nonprofit that protects and shares the natural and cultural heritage of Western North Carolina for generations to come. Every dollar you give on August 8 helps carry that work, and this music, forward.
