There are summers, and then there are the ones you remember. This is shaping up to be one of the latter. America turns 250 this year, and there may be no better place to feel the weight and the joy of that than here in the Blue Ridge — where the mountains roll on past the porch railing, the fireworks carry over the ridgelines, and the whole season seems to slow down just enough to let you take it in.

We’ve spent years getting to know our corner of Western North Carolina — the farms and the makers, the naturalists and the guides, the quiet swimming holes and the long mountain drives. And every summer, we love nothing more than sharing it with the people who come to stay with us. So we put this together as an invitation: come spend a piece of this milestone summer at the farm, and let us help you fill the days.
Summer the way it’s meant to feel
Mornings at the Farm

Every stay begins in the same gentle way — with a farm-to-table breakfast that showcases whatever the season offers. Hand-picked fruits and vegetables from our kitchen garden, fluffy pancakes and garden-fresh omelets, and a cup of our signature house blend. Dine indoors by the fire or out on the deck with the mountains in view. It’s the kind of unhurried start that sets the tone for the whole day.
Fifteen acres, six guestrooms, and a working farmhouse fifteen minutes north of Asheville. That’s the heart of it. The rest of the day is yours to shape.
Let us do the planning
Days Out in the Blue Ridge — Tours We’ll Book for You
One of the best parts of staying with us is that you don’t have to figure out the logistics. Tell us when you’re coming and what you’re in the mood for, and we’ll make the calls. A few of the experiences our guests love most:
• Private kayak tours on the French Broad River or Lake Lure — both guided, both private, May through September. Wildlife along the banks, a glimpse of the Biltmore from the water, and mountain views in every direction.
• Private hiking tours built around exactly what you want to see — waterfalls, wildflowers, long-range views, or all three. Your guide picks you up at the inn and customizes the route to your pace.
• Art studio tours with the working artists of Asheville and Weaverville, curated by Sherry, who has been leading studio visits in our region for over a decade.
• Asheville Food Tours — seven stops, three hours, downtown Asheville at its best — with a 10% discount for our guests when we book it for you.
• And as the season turns, a Seasonal Fall Leaves Tour along the Blue Ridge Parkway with a certified Western North Carolina naturalist, for guests stretching their summer into early autumn.
See all our Area Tour Packages — then just tell us when you’re coming, and we’ll handle the arrangements.
The milestone itself

Marking 250 Years in the Mountains
The mountains do the Fourth their own way. Fireworks over the ridges, small-town Independence Day parades in Weaverville and the towns nearby, hot afternoons that cool into perfect evenings on the porch. It’s the kind of long summer week where the days blur together in the best way — and a fitting place to stand still for a moment and mark two hundred and fifty years.
Stay for the holiday weekend, or stretch it into a proper summer week. We’d suggest the latter. Milestones like this one don’t come around again.
Close to everything, far from the rush
Asheville, Just Down the Road
When you’re ready to venture out, downtown Asheville is about fifteen miles south — a vibrant arts scene, historic architecture, the Biltmore Estate, and some of the best restaurants and breweries in the region. The Blue Ridge Parkway, the North Carolina Arboretum, and the Folk Art Center are all an easy drive. We’re happy to point you toward our favorites or to help arrange any of it. We love sharing this area with our guests.
