Daniel began exploring that dream by doing a 6-month Internship at a high-end, well-run Savannah B&B. He became even more excited to pursue this dream. The hunt for a property began in earnest in summer of 2021 in the Western North Carolina mountains. The day after Christmas in 2021 we found our dream property in Weaverville. Most particularly it was a 1990 Farmhouse situated on 16 acres of rolling hills, ponds, pastures, horses and serenity. Four months later the property became ours and 14 months later the house became an elegant modern farmhouse, with wrap-around porches and views to the surrounding pastures and mountains that perfectly deliver the message – breathe, relax and sleep well.

The Lumpert’s had more than a farmhouse dream, the vision included a working produce farm. A portion of the land is leased to a young Entrepreneur, Christian, whose goals and farming practices enhance the ambience of our Inn. The first harvest produced, lettuce, tomatoes, okra, radishes, beans, lemon cucumbers and a variety of herbs and flowers. We seek every day to incorporate the rich freshness of the season into the dishes we create. His commitment to the earth and ours to your sense of pampered indulgence begins each morning with the aromas from the kitchen that gently rouse you from your sleep with an eagerness to start your day.
