    • Description: Join us for a monthly birding walk through the NC Arboretum gardens and trails as we search for the Carolina Chickadee, a common year-round resident of North Carolina.   • Streams & Creeks of the Arboretum

    • Location: The North Carolina Arboretum
    • Description: Join Lauren for an exploration of the NC Arboretum’s streams and creeks to discover their vital role in the park’s ecology. We’ll review maps showing how regional rivers shaped the mountains and valleys, then head out to follow a stream until it reaches the French Broad River.

  • Min Xiao-Fen & River Guerguerian – World Music Series celebrates the Lunar New Year!

    • Description: River and Min bring a unique cross-cultural vision to the stage in this special event, perfect for cinephiles and music lovers. After composing the acclaimed score for The Goddess, Min was commissioned by the Smithsonian in 2023 to create new soundtracks for two 1920s Chinese silent films, Romance of the Fruit Peddler and Romance of the Western Chamber. Both films will be shown with live musical accompaniment by River and Min.
